Azure Cloud Engineer (6 months Contract)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and evolve a secure, scalable cloud environment powering mission-critical financial services applications across Australia and New Zealand. You will play an important part in delivering reliable, high-performing Azure solutions while allowing engineering teams to deploy efficiently.

Key points

  1. This role reports to Cloud Platform Manager.

  2. Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment pipelines and automation…

  3. Develop, deploy and support cloud solutions, including virtual machines, PaaS services and appropriately provisioned resources across cloud environments.

  4. Assess and address security vulnerabilities, applying relevant security standards and managing cloud network configurations, including Network Security Groups, virtual networks, subnets and firewall rules.

  5. Intermediate to experience of Azure including Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage.

  6. Desirable, but not essential: Experience working with Checkpoint firewalls.

  7. Holds a tertiary education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  8. At least one of the below certifications.
