India Tax Lead - Tax, APAC

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced tax leader to own Stripe’s India tax agenda and serve as the principal tax partner for our business and entities in India.

Key points

  1. Own and lead Stripe's end-to-end India tax agenda, setting priorities and providing clear, practical advice on all material India tax matters…

  2. Manage India tax controversy, including risk assessment, audit and litigation strategy, responses to information requests and notices, engagement with tax authorities…

  3. Identify emerging India tax risks and opportunities, maintain a clear view of exposures, and communicate recommendations and decisions to senior Tax…

  4. Build and maintain robust India tax controls, documentation and processes, partnering with Accounting and other teams to ensure accurate, timely and audit-ready compliance.

  5. Experience working in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment.

  6. Experience in technology, payments or financial services.

  7. Experience with tax policy or industry engagement in India.

  8. Familiarity with international tax issues.
