Key points

  1. Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and contributing to code reviews.

  2. Ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.

  3. Advocate for improvements to reliability, security, and performance.

  4. Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team (“technical debt”), propose and implement solutions.

  5. Proficiency with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

  6. Proven experience writing testable code in Ruby on Rails.

  7. Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (PostgreSQL is a plus).

  8. An ability to self manage and organize in an asynchronous and collaborative work environment.
