Job Overview

Tasks / Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin/Java. Stay up to date with the latest trends, architectural patterns, and best practices in Android development.Expected skill set: Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.

Key points

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  2. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

  3. Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

  4. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

  5. (Specify preference if any, e.g., "Strong preference for Kotlin.") In-depth understanding of the Android SDK, Android Jetpack, and the Android application lifecycle.

  6. Experience with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi communication for IoT device integration (e.g., device pairing, GATT services/characteristics, Wi-Fi provisioning/socket communication).

  7. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, MVP, Clean Architecture).

  8. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
