We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our Core Experience global group and help build and evolve Fivetran’s Developer Experience platform. In this role, you will design and deliver reliable backend services, improve API usability and consistency, and contribute to the evolution of our software architecture.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Fivetran’s Developer Experience.
Build and enhance Public APIs, Terraform Provider, and MCP integrations, enabling customers to manage and automate their Fivetran infrastructure.
Design reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions, with a focus on API consistency, backward compatibility, security, and performance.
Take ownership of features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
REST APIs, OpenAPI, gRPC, MCP, OAuth.
Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP.
AI-Assisted Development: Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
Experience: Senior-level · 5+ years
