Job Overview

Frontend & VS Code Extension Development: Architect, develop, and maintain the VS Code Extension frontend using TypeScript, implementing interactive elements, custom tree views, and workspace editors. Expected skill set(Top 5 must to have skills in the order of priority): Strong TypeScript/JavaScript Proficiency: Deep understanding of modern JS/TS concepts, asynchronous programming, patterns, and Node.js environment.

Key points

  1. Collaborate closely with the Python backend/MASAR team to establish clean protocols, APIs, and IPC mechanisms for UI-to-backend communication.

  2. Leverage HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Webviews) to build user-friendly and responsive UI panels within VS Code.

  3. Write robust unit and integration tests for TypeScript codebases to ensure high quality and standard compliance.

  4. Efficiently utilize GIT for version control, branching, and code reviews, and integrate frontend builds with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).

  5. B.E/ B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or an equivalent engineering field.

  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional and global teams.

  7. Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of an integrated, agile team to take assignments to completion.

  8. 6-8 years of professional software development experience, specializing in TypeScript, modern frontend technologies, and desktop/tooling development.
