Software Engineer, Business Accounts

Job Overview

You'll help build backend services that connect Cash, Yield, Lending, and other Airwallex product surfaces into a unified financial experience for businesses. The Business Accounts team is where Cash, Yield, Lending, and the rest of our product suite come together into one unified financial experience for businesses.

Key points

  1. You'll deliver core financial workflows, including moving funds between accounts, optimising liquidity, and responding to activity across payments, card spend, and collections.

  2. You'll work from our Sydney office on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

  3. This is a brand-new team at an early stage, so you'll shape the technical foundations of a core platform from the ground up.

  4. Professional experience building and shipping software, ideally in a backend or full-stack engineering role.

  5. Experience with a backend programming language and an interest in learning Kotlin.

  6. Understanding of distributed systems concepts such as scalability, consistency, latency, and reliability.

  7. Experience writing automated tests and contributing to software quality.

  8. Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
