Job Overview

As a Software Engineering Team Lead based in Singapore, you will lead a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for building and evolving Adyen’s Alternative Payment Methods (APMs) platform for the APAC region.

Key points

  1. Lead, coach and develop a team of Software Engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.

  2. Partner closely with Product Managers to translate business priorities and market needs into scalable technical solutions.

  3. Drive the technical direction of the team, balancing product delivery with long-term platform scalability, resilience and maintainability.

  4. Guide architectural discussions and engineering decisions relating to APM integrations, payment processing and platform capabilities.

  5. You have experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.

  6. You have a strong software engineering background building large-scale, distributed systems using Java or similar backend technologies.

  7. You enjoy coaching engineers through technical mentorship, regular feedback and career development.

  8. You're comfortable leading technical discussions, facilitating architectural decisions and balancing engineering quality with business priorities.
