Job Overview

As a Software Engineer on the Growth team, you will build and optimize the experiences that drive user acquisition, activation, and conversion at Mixpanel. A key focus of this role is web experimentation — you'll design, implement, and analyze experiments across our product onboarding flows and other surface areas to improve key growth metrics.

Key points

  1. Design, build, and analyze experiments across Mixpanel's product and onboarding flows to optimize acquisition and activation metrics.

  2. Partner with Product and Design to identify high-impact experiment hypotheses grounded in data and user research.

  3. Instrument tracking and build dashboards (in Mixpanel!) to measure experiment outcomes and inform iteration.

  4. Build and improve onboarding experiences that drive down time to value, and increase activation rates for new Mixpanel users.

  5. Preferred: interest in leveraging AI/GenAI to accelerate experimentation workflows.

  6. Preferred: prior experience on a growth engineering team or in a growth-focused role.

  7. Preferred: react / TypeScript experience.

  8. Preferred: django / Python experience.
