Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise

Job Overview

We’re looking to hire a Senior Solutions Architect, Enterprise to join our Field Engineering team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be a trusted technical advisor to some of our largest and most strategic customers, helping them evaluate, adopt, and expand their use of dbt.

Key points

  1. Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business, use cases, and requirements across data replication, transformation, and modeling.

  2. Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences on the full Fivetran + dbt value proposition.

  3. Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process spanning ingestion through transformation.

  4. Guide customers through dbt Cloud proof-of-concept implementations, including private-cloud deployments for enterprise clients where applicable.

  5. AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, Grafana, Linux, Windows, Python, Java, Iceberg, dbt Cloud, SQL, data catalogs.

  6. Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and modern data warehousing architectures.

  7. Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.

  8. Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses/lakes, transformation tooling (dbt or similar), data catalogs, and BI tools.
