Revenue Accountant

Execute significant portions of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, deferred and unbilled revenue schedules, reconciliations, and flux analysis.

Perform recurring usage / consumption completeness and billing-to-GL reconciliations; investigate exceptions and drive resolution with cross-functional partners.

Review customer contracts and apply established ASC 606 guidance to standard arrangements; escalate novel, high-judgment, or precedent-setting matters.

Support accounting for credits, refunds, contract modifications, cutoff, and variable consideration, with clear and audit-ready documentation.

Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal vs. agent analysis.

Experience leading the revenue close: deferred revenue management, unbilled receivables, journal entry review, and month-end flux analysis.

Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments.

Experience operating in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external audit, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation.
